The “Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023,” the world’s largest mobile exhibition, was held from February 27th to March 2nd in Barcelona, Spain. Inside and Outside the Venue of MWC 2023
The event is held annually at Fira Gran Via, covering an area of 240,000 square meters and comprising 8 halls. Leading Chinese company Huawei Technologies exhibited in Hall 1. The exhibition for consumers and for B2B purposes had separate booths, within Huawei’s largest booth at MWC. Consumer exhibitions are open to the public, allowing entry for those with MWC general tickets. On the other hand, B2B exhibitions are only accessible to pre-registered customers of Huawei, not open to the general public, with many attendees being executives from different companies and representatives from different governments.

Chinese companies such as China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, Huawei, ZTE, OPPO, and Xiaomi exhibited in this significant event. Finally, Huawei won 8 Media Awards announced by the “GLOMO (Global Mobile) Awards” and garnering attention for innovation in smart wearable technology. Rakuten Mobile, representing Japanese companies, also won multiple awards.

On the first day of the event, King Felipe VI of Spain, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and ambassadors from Japan and China attended, attracting significant attention to their presence.
